About the course
The CodePath Internship Connection Program is a unique program for computer science students from historically underrepresented communities in tech who show outstanding potential to succeed as a professional software engineer.
This 10-week virtual course, run in close collaboration with hiring companies, is specifically designed to guide you step-by-step through the process of landing a competitive technical internship for summer 2025. The course includes:
- Weekly sessions led by recruiters & engineers of sponsoring companies
- Interactive breakout room sessions with peers
- Targeted lessons on the most high impact activities for internship application success
- Practice technical problems with video walkthroughs
- Opportunity to make direct connections with company representatives for open roles
- Mentorship directly from industry professionals during Company Connection Hours
- Targeted support from CodePath’s Career Center, including one-on-one career and technical coaching and inclusion in the program resume book
- An exclusive career fair with company sponsors for course completers
Who should apply?
This course is for rising junior Computer Science majors looking for their first technical internship, graduating in May 2026 or December 2025. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept international students who require CPT for an internship
The program is designed to support underrepresented students who historically are the least likely to have a paid internship before graduation. Students who identify as Black, Latino/a, and/or Indigenous are strongly encouraged to apply.
CodePath’s mission is reprogramming higher education to create the most diverse generation of engineers, CTOs, and founders. Our course is open to all college students at no-cost. We encourage you to apply if you meet the criteria.
Other Important Details
- Admission closes on Friday, May 3, 2024
- Classes begin on the week of June 3, 2024
- Students must attend one 1.5-hour mandatory sessions every week for the 10 weeks
- All students must complete weekly career and technical assignments to remain in good standing in the course
Class Schedule
- Attendance is mandatory regardless of your current time zone.
- Internship Connection Program Summer 2024 class times (1x/week):
- Section 1: Monday, 2:00-3:30 PM PT
- Section 2: Wednesday 4:00-5:30 PM PT
